Wisconsin Tribal Transportation Conference

 
Register today for the Wisconsin Tribal Transportation Conference (WTTC)!
 
This is an opportunity for Tribal, local, county, state, federal and transportation construction professionals to come together and increase their knowledge of the governmental and transportation initiatives of the 11 Tribes of Wisconsin and WisDOT.

Sessions include: How to do Business with WisDOT, Cultural Resources and Preservation, Safety, Federal Indian Law and Tribal Transportation Projects.

Conference Highlights
Workshops
The conference features four tracks: Safety, Cultural and Environmental Resources, Business and Economic Development, and General Transportation topics. The conference also includes important Tribal, Local, State and Federal updates, upcoming construction project updates and networking opportunities.

Tour at Milwaukee Public Museum
Special Viewing of A Tribe to Survival Exhibition will held on Tuesday, November 6th. Transportation departs at 9:00 am from the Potawatomi Hotel, and returns at 11:30 am. Seating is limited to 25, and pre-registration is required. Register here.

Business Networking
On Tuesday, November 6th, prior to the Opening Ceremony, a Business Networking event will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 am.
 
The Business Networking Lunch will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and is sponsored by the WisDOT Inter-Tribal Task Force and the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin.

These sessions are designed for anyone interested in business and labor opportunities in the construction industry. Informal networking opportunities with Tribal roads representatives, prime contractors, resource organizations, WisDOT and various other state, Tribal and federal government contract opportunities programs will be available. Seating is limited, and pre-registration is required. For more information, email Gary Mejchar at the AICCW or call 414-517-1604.
 
Vendor Expo
A Vendor Expo will be held throughout the Conference. Exhibitors include suppliers and industry professionals. The Vendor registration fee is $160 and includes one six-foot table and two chairs, conference materials, meals and one dinner ticket.

Vendors should check-in at registration, beginning at 8:00 am on November 6th, to receive instructions on set-up. All vendors should be setup by 9:30 am.  Register for the conference, and be sure to note that you are a Vendor.
 
NADBE Scholarships
A limited number of needed-based scholarships are available upon request for qualified Native-owned businesses. For more information, email Gary Mejchar at the AICCW or call 414-517-1604.

TrANS Graduates and Industry-Oriented Career Seekers
The Tribal Labor Advisory Committee has a limited number of scholarships for individuals interested in meeting one-on-one with prime contractors and participate in a business networking session to showcase their talents and provide their resumes and cover letters. Legislative Reception
The Forest County Potawatomi Community, in conjunction with the Inter-Tribal Task Force, will host a legislative reception on November 6th at 5:30 pm. 
 
The reception serves as an opportunity for WisDOT administrators, state legislators, Tribal leadership, and conference attendees to meet and greet prior to the Tribal Excellence Awards Dinner Banquet. Light refreshments will be provided.

Tribal Excellence Awards Dinner Banquet
The Awards Dinner Banquet will be held on Tuesday, November 6th, and will present Tribal Excellence Awards to those that have made a significant impact on Tribal Affairs initiatives, services and labor in Tribal transportation. 
 
The banquet will include dinner and entertainment. Additional tickets for non-registered guests may be purchased with registration.
